Welcome to my blog! Thank you for stopping by. Please take a few moments to sit back, relax and catch up on what is happening in my world. I would love to hear what is happening in yours!
Welcome! My name is Debra, I am a still life & flower photographer residing in Southern New Jersey. I am the face behind Doodlebug Designz. My business is named after me, you see as a child my dad always called me Doodles. As a kid, I didn’t like it much, but as I got older it grew on me, and now, it’s who I am!
I began my photography journey in 2009 after receiving a camera as a Christmas gift from my husband in 2008. I was laid off from my job in February of 2009 and it seemed like fate was telling me something, so I began teaching myself photography. Fast forward to 2017, and I have discovered that still life, particularly flower photography, has been bringing me inner peace and comfort. This comfort I want to share with you, my friends.
I will be sharing my photographs with you weekly, with a short story to accompany the photos. My hope is that you will share in my journey of peaceful and quiet reflection. Photography has taught me patience, which if you know me, I am not a patient person. It has gotten me through some very tough times in my life, bringing me inner peace and joy.
Besides sharing my life experiences, views and adventures weekly in my blog, I also offer beautiful cards, invitations, and thank you notes. I hope you will stop by my Etsy shop (currently under construction) and have a look around. I always look forward to hearing from you, please email me at email@example.com if you are looking for something special. I always look forward to hearing from you.
So, take a break from this hectic world and join me for some weekly inspiration and some beautiful photography.
See you on my next adventure . . . Debra
Hello Autumn! Autumn is a very colorful time of the year. The changing leaves bring beautiful oranges, reds and vibrant yellows to our scenery.
My mind is racing, I begin thinking “what can I photograph” to take advantage of this amazing light.
I don’t know what it is about their fluffy, lacy petals that is so appealing, but peonies are so pretty and so much fun to photograph. They are a must if you are a flower photographer!
In Progress . . .
If you’d like to receive my blog, I’ll be sending it out weekly, just fill in the information below. I hope you’ll join me. Thank you.
